Launched in April 2025, Independents for B&NES is a political cause that not only wants to put local people first but aims to provide a strong voice for non-party politics across the district.

Founded by three Independent Councillors that are enthusiastic about taking the independent movement forward, Independents for B&NES believes that local people's voices need to be heard more – especially when the council is discussing issues that impact them.

Non-party politics advocacy
Community-first approach
Transparent governance
Local voices heard
“There is a growing disillusionment with party-politics across Bath and North East Somerset, and so our Independents for B&NES movement provides the alternative that residents are crying out for.
